Santa Monica has a lot to offer visitors. This coastal city, located in western Los Angeles County, has grown from a tiny town of only 417 in the 1880's to over 85000 today. There is a lot to see and do in this wonderful city.
The famous Santa Monica Pier is a major pull for guests. The pier, built in 1909, is home to many popular attractions. The Santa Monica Looff Hippodrome, which is a carousel, is a National Historic Landmark. The La Monica Ballroom was once the largest ballroom in the United States and was the location for New Year's Eve network broadcasts for years.
Although during our visit we mostly focused on the beach area of the city we are looking forward to going back and taking in more of the spectacular place. Please enjoy the photos we snapped during our short time in Santa Monica.
