Expedition EVEREST: The Legend of the Forbidden Mountain officially opened on April 7, 2006 to the thrills of many guests. The mountain is approximately one acre in size and that is JUST the mountain. On this coaster-type ride guests travel through the Himalayan Mountains and face the Yeti, a creature believed to guard the way to Mount Everest.
When guests climb aboard the train they will travel through bamboo forests, past waterfalls, and along glaciers as the train goes up through the almost 200 foot tall mountain (which is similar in height to Tower of Terror). When the track ends in a mass of twisted metal the train speeds both forward and backward through mountain caverns and icy canyons, and finally into a confrontation with the Yeti.
Make sure you check out our excellent on-ride video.
