Islands of Adventure, which was opened May 28th 1999, is a 150 acre dream come true for theme park and roller coaster enthusiasts! The five islands that make up IOA are the most fun, thrilling, amazing islands you will ever encounter. And the fact that they are all located in one park makes it even better. Where else can you ride with the Hulk, help Spiderman capture the bad guys, take a journey through dinosaurs, battle dueling dragons, and visit with Thing 1 and Thing 2 all in one day. This park brings the best of thrill rides, fabulous shows, and great kids fun all together and it is all located just next door to Universal Studios. Universal Studios did not hold anything back when building this high tech, high thrills park. The great theme-ing and soundtrack of the islands will keep you submerged in the fantasy. The bar for theme parks was definitely raised when Islands of Adventure was opened.
