This great attraction has now officially opened. From the reviews we've gotten it's another strong contender for best ride!
The Simpsons are going to Krustyland, Krusty The Clown's theme park (which he states is not a shameless rip-off of other, better theme parks in Florida and California) and guests to Universal Studios Florida have been invited to go along with them.
Guests enter through Krustyland's carnival midway with Homer, Marge Bart, Lisa and Maggie where they'll then encounter Apu, Patty, Selma, Groundskeeper Willie and other Simpsons characters who are working the carnival booths. Once guests board the ride vehicle they are carried away, with the Simpsons, flying, bumping, floating, and crashing their way through the attractions at Krustyland.
This new ride at Universal Studios Florida features all-new animation starring the voices of the Fox shows original cast, projected onto an 80-foot dome and sends guests on a wonderful journey with lots of thrills.
Original Announcement
Well, what we've all known (or at least speculated) since last summer has finally been confirmed by the powers to be at Universal Studios. With the closing of Back To The Future, which finally officially closed March 30, 2007, it was only a matter of time until the rumors became fact. Today, April 24, 2007, Universal announced that there will be a new "mega-attraction" opening at both Universal Orlando and Hollywood in Spring 2008. And what will that ride be, you ask? None other than The Simpsons (at this time it seems that everybody is either calling it "The Simpsons" or "The Simpsons Ride").
The ride, which is based on the long-running Fox series, will "rocket guests along with the Simpson family on a hysterical, almost unimaginable adventure" according to reports. It will also feature many of the shows characters all voiced by the original actors.
Keep checking back as we'll be bringing you any new information we can find on this highly-anticipated attraction.
